Ramona Zabriskie

Ramona Zabriskie is a sought-after mentor, teacher, leader, and friend to women who want to succeed in marriage.  These women include those who have given up hope, who are at the end of their rope, as well as women who have experienced divorce or who are remarried.  She also helps women that have never married to believe in and prepare for the day they will be.  And of course, she especially loves helping those in stable or happy relationships find even more fulfillment and joy in both their womanhood and in their marriage.  In addition to Ramona’s critically acclaimed, multi-award winning book, Wife for Life: The Power to Succeed in Marriage, she and Team Wife for Life offer all kinds of resources including video shows, podcasts, Ramona’s blog, and expert contributions to national and international media such as Huffington, Dr. Laura, Dr. Oz, wellness.com, etc.  Recently she has been a popular speaker for events such as the Mom Conference and The Ultimate Moms’ Summit.

Ramona’s premium, transformative experience, however, is Wife for Life University: the acclaimed, remarkably effective one-of-a-kind virtual school for women.  Her website is ramonazabriskie.com

Known for her empathy, passion, and humor, Ramona Zabriskie’s motivational speaking has taken her from classrooms to stages, from chapels to college campuses, for over twenty-five years.  In addition to Stake and Regional Women’s, Single Adult, and Youth Conferences around the country, she is popular with Christian women’s groups, and has served on the BYU Continuing Education Faculty (EFY and Education Week), as well as teaching Seminary, Gospel Doctrine, Gospel Principles, and Marriage and Family Relations classes . By avocation, she and her husband, Dale, a keynoter for a global software company, direct choral and theatrical events and organizations, both in and out of the Church. Their original full-scale stage musical, With Mine Own Hand: The Musical Account of Nephi, won the Church’s 2010 Deseret Dramatic Cultural Arts competition and is produced around the church today.   Now an empty-nester, Sister Zabriskie depends on five grandchildren (and seven adult children) to keep her on her toes, as well as readers from around the world who seek mentoring and encouragement.  Though Ramona grew up in Olympia (a sixth generation Pacific Northwesterner), she raised her family in Orlando, Florida, and lived for a time in London, England with her husband on corporate assignment.  The Zabriskies are currently members of the Salmon Creek Ward, Vancouver Washington West stake.

Following the keynote Ramona will be available to sign copies of her book that you bring with you and may have books available for purchase.

Why and How to Make Your Education a Top Priority

Audrey Rindlisbacher

The fascinating dichotomy of homeschool is that mom is usually the one doing the teaching and even though she’s spent 12 or more years in school, she doesn’t feel qualified to teach. Ironic and sad! That’s exactly how I felt in the beginning! Looking into the eyes of my beautiful children I was scared to death that I would do something wrong and mess up their lives forever – even though I had plenty of school under my belt. What I discovered was that even though I had attended lots of school, I hadn’t necessarily been educated. Education is very different from schooling.

Once I understood that I didn’t need more schooling, I just needed more education and I could get that on my own, I was off and running! Learning right beside my kids wound up being one of the scariest, best and funnest decisions of my life. More importantly, as I began to work on me, I was surprised how quickly my fears began to subside.

Come talk about the importance of putting YOUR education at the top of your to do list and some tools and tips for where to start and what to focus on to get the most out of the little time you have to spend!
